Sri Krishna emphatically states that one’s identification is the soul and the physical body is just one’s vehicle. The human vehicle is the most important of all species because they have the power to discriminate and make decisions which is not available to all the other species. And the first question one should ask if I am spirit soul then what is my duty? Sri Krishna explains that your duty is that you are maidservant for Him. But due to previous material conditioning in our many past lifetimes we are conditioned to think that the physical body is our identification. This is understood to be impure consiousness. Therefore, Sri Krishna ultimate instruction is to give up all other services and serve Him.
